Orah Secures $2M Growth Capital Funding

Auckland, New Zealand – March 4, 2026 – Orah, a leader in K-12 school safety and boarding school management software, today announced it has successfully closed a $2 million growth capital funding round. The investment was led by existing shareholder Punakaiki Fund and supported by other current investors.

This significant capital infusion will fuel Orah's ambitious growth plans, particularly in expanding its presence within the K-12 school safety market across the United States and Canada. The company will also continue to solidify its global leadership in boarding school software, ensuring student accountability and well-being worldwide.

The investment follows a period of record year-over-year growth in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) for Orah over the past 12 months, with the US market now contributing over 50% of the company's total ARR.

"We are incredibly excited to continue our partnership with Orah as they embark on this next phase of growth," said Nadine Hill, Lead Investor at Punakaiki Fund. "Their dedication to student safety and their innovative approach to school management have already made a profound impact. We believe Orah is uniquely positioned to further revolutionize how schools operate, and we're proud to support their mission."

Orah's success is also built upon strong strategic partnerships with leading Student Information Systems (SIS) providers, including Blackbaud, Veracross, and FACTS, as well as emergency notification platforms like Informacast. These integrations ensure seamless data flow and enhanced capabilities for schools utilizing Orah's solutions.

"This growth capital funding is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Orah team, and the trust our schools place in us every day," said Matt Varley, CEO of Orah. "It allows us to significantly accelerate our product development and market expansion, especially in North America. We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology, including AI, to continually rethink how schools can enhance school safety and streamline operations. Our goal remains unwavering: to ensure every student is accounted for and safe."

Looking ahead, Orah is actively exploring how Artificial Intelligence can further transform workflows within schools, optimizing processes to keep students safer and empower educators. The company remains at the forefront of innovation, continuously seeking new ways to support the evolving needs of educational institutions globally.
